Scottish Premiership side, St Mirren are “set to sign” Shamal George from Wycombe Wanderers, according to Alan Nixon.
The 27 year-old keeper has only made a total of five appearances for the Chairboys, not including the pre-season friendlies played recently. One appearance included Wycombe’s win against Championship side, Portsmouth, in the FA Cup, in which he was subbed off seven minutes into the game after sustaining an injury to his groin.
Journalist Nixon has now reported via his Patreon page that the Blues stopper is “set” to return to Scotland less than a year after moving to Buckinghamshire with Caolan Boyd-Munce’s former club, St Mirren.
He has only played a total of 367 minutes for the blues, which were in both FA Cup and EFL Trophy ties, unable to make an appearance in the League, but did feature on the bench a few times, kept out of the side by the likes of Franco Ravizzoli and Will Norris.
Signing for Wycombe on 30th August 2024 from Livingston, George is “set” for his second spell in the first tier of Scottish Football if he leaves for St Mirren.
