Celtic are the latest club to express an interest in signing Richard Kone. News reported by Fraser Fletcher from Team Talk has suggested a move for the Ivorian striker will be subject to the future of current Bhoys striker Daizen Maeda. Maeda is interesting a host of Premier League clubs which include West Ham, Tottenham and Brentford.

Celtic currently value the Japanese International at £25 million and subject to any bids, would trigger a move for the Wycombe striker. Celtic have scouted the striker on three separate occasions last season and are aware of his potential. But any potential move for Kone could trigger a bidding war. Kone’s suitors currently include Brentford, Crystal Palace, Toulouse(of France) and Royale Union Saint Gilloise(of Belgium).

Team Talk are also led to believe that any potential fee for the Wycombe striker would demand a fee close to £7 million which is a current stumbling block for Celtic unless they sell Maeda.
