The Luca Connell transfer saga appears to be ongoing as reported by Neil Goulding at SportsBoom.
Goulding has reported that Barnsley are likely to accept a fee between £750,000 – £1 million to sign the Irish midfielder. Connell remains a top target for Mike Dodds as he looks to fill the void of Josh Scowen, who is out for the majority of the upcoming season with an ACL injury.
Negotiations have been frustrating for all parties as it’s anticipated that an agreement can be achieved. But reports last week of a rumoured accepted £1.3 million bid was rubbished by both clubs.
24 year old Connell has two years left on his current contract with Barnsley but these fresh developments will give Chairboy fans some optimism.
