Wycombe’s efforts to strenghten their ranks in able to push for promotion next season goes on as talks have collapsed between Wycombe and the Scottish centreback, as reported by Football Insider.

The 21-year-old was set for a reunion with former Rangers teammate, Alex Lowry at Wycombe but that no longer seems to be the case.

At this moment in time, it is unknown as to why the talks collapsed after the Scotsman travelled down to Wycombe’s training ground to hold them. But, it was reported by the Glasgow Times that the player stalled on making the move to HP12, possibly due to wages, and will “assess options elsewhere.”

King featured in Russel Martin’s first game in charge against Club Brugge last weekend but had previously failed to make a single start for Rangers in the first half of last season and was sent out on loan to Scottish Championship side, Queens Park.
