The Quartermen to relaunch with CounterPress Media on June 1st 2026
The Quartermen will join the CounterPress Media network on June 1st 2026, relaunching a sleek new website, and offering users new perks.
The Quartermen are delighted to announce that we will be joining the CounterPress Media network, launching a new-look website on June 1st 2026, ahead of the 2026/27 season, which will become the home of all Wycombe Wanderers written coverage.
CounterPress is an exciting initiative founded by journalist Sam Morshead, who identified a gap in the market of local media coverage for EFL clubs.
CounterPress is combating this by providing a platform for writers and supporters of lower-league clubs to publish content that local media outlets may not provide.
Sam’s Swindon Town outlet, The Moonraker, has changed the game in Swindon, averaging over 500 paid subscribers since launching in August 2024.
The Quartermen has been a hit since launch, garnering over 40,000 views in its first nine months of operation, and providing Wycombe Wanderers supporters with content that can’t be found elsewhere.
With that in mind, we believe joining forces with CounterPress to embark on this new chapter is a hugely exciting opportunity, as we work together to achieve our goal of becoming the number one media outlet for Chairboys fans.
As of today, March 20th, Wanderers supporters can register their interest in The Quartermen at the web address below, which will automatically sign you up to our mailing list ahead of launch on June 1st.
You can join our mailing list by simply entering your email address on the temporary webpage. Doing so will also unlock extra perks and discounts which can be utilised when the new website launches.

The new site will then officially launch on June 1st 2026, ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, from which we will continue our operations and embark on this exciting new chapter.
Until then, articles will continue to be released as normal on our current website.
