Wycombe Wanderers winger Fred Onyedinma is set to leave the club this summer, having turned down a new contract with the club, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke via X.
As was revealed by The Quartermen last week, the Nigerian is entering the final few months of his contract at Adams Park, having penned a two-year deal when he joined the club for the fourth time in 2024.
Onyedinma is currently Wanderers’ top goalscorer in the league this season with 10 goals to his name but is set to pursue opportunities elsewhere, having reportedly rejected the chance to extend his stay in HP12.
It’s understood that low-end Championship clubs have been sniffing around the 29-year-old in recent weeks, which is no surprise when you consider his exceptional output for Michael Duff’s side this term.
Onyedinma first joined Wycombe on loan from Millwall as a teenager back in 2014 before returning to the club on loan once again in 2018 to help the club survive their first season back in League One since 2012.
Having established his reputation as a fan favourite, Onyedinma made his move permanent a year later, playing an integral part in Gareth Ainsworth’s legendary promotion-winning side.
The winger then joined Luton Town on a permanent deal after Wycombe were relegated from the Championship, only to return for a fourth spell in 2024, following his release from the Hatters.
Now, Onyedinma looks set to call time on his fourth spell at the club, with eyes on a move back to the second tier.
This will come as a huge blow for Wanderers, who will be left with a huge void to fill on their right flank.
